Circularity & Sustainability

Circular Economy

The Luups tray is designed for a circular economy, both prolonging and closing resource loops (here the inspiration to the Luups name). Thus the tray is only made from one material, that is both durable and can be recycled again and again.

Composite Material

The composite material consists of 50% plastic and 50% wood. This material is carefully selected from a sustainability perspective as well as from a functional perspective.

  • The wood fibres reduces the environmental impact due to reduced amount of fossil-based plastic.
  • The wood fibres has fast drying capabilities ensuring optimal hygiene
  • The plastic ensures that the material can be manufactured and recycled again and again

The wood comes from certified forests in Scandinavia and both the material and the Luups tray is manufactured in Scandinavia.
